Data Use Policy

1. Purpose

This Data Use Policy explains specifically how Easy Yield (easyyield.ca) collects, stores, and uses the data you provide when subscribing to our email list, creating an account, or interacting with our communications. This policy supplements our Privacy Policy, which covers our broader data practices.

2. What Data We Collect From Subscribers

When you subscribe to Easy Yield updates, we collect:

• Your email address (required)
• Your first and last name (optional) — used only to personalize email greetings
• The date and source of your subscription (e.g., newsletter signup form, footer signup)
• Your country, detected automatically at subscription time, for regional relevance

We do not collect payment information, browsing history, or behavioral data through our email list.

3. Email Verification Requirement

We require you to verify your email address before we send any marketing communications. This protects both you and us — it prevents your address from being subscribed without your consent.

After subscribing, you'll receive a single verification email. If you do not verify your address, we will send one reminder. If your address remains unverified after 7 days from that reminder, it is automatically and permanently deleted from our system.

We believe unverified data has no place in our database, and we clean it up proactively.

4. How We Use Your Data

Once verified, your subscriber data is used exclusively to:

• Send you Easy Yield newsletters, new comics, and personal-finance updates you opted in to receive
• Personalize email content (e.g., addressing you by first name)
• Notify you about new comics, videos, and subscriber-exclusive content

We do not use your subscriber data to build advertising profiles, sell to third parties, or share with data brokers. Ever.

5. Data Storage & Security

Subscriber data is stored in a secure, encrypted database hosted on Cloudflare's global infrastructure. Access is strictly limited to authorized Easy Yield administrators. All data is transmitted over HTTPS/TLS.

6. Unsubscribing & Data Deletion

Every marketing email we send includes an Unsubscribe link at the bottom. Clicking it immediately deactivates your subscription — you will not receive further emails from us.

To have your data permanently deleted from our system, email us at info@easyyield.ca with the subject "Data Deletion Request." We will complete the deletion within 7 business days and confirm when done.

You can also use your account settings to request data deletion if you have an account.

7. Third-Party Email Delivery

We use Resend (resend.com/privacy) as our email delivery service. When we send you an email, your email address and the email content are transmitted to Resend for delivery. Resend is bound by their own privacy policy and does not use your data for their own marketing purposes.
